The European Union in the eyes of protesters and government supporters in Georgia
This project started in late 2024 and was focused on exploration of attitudes among Georgian citizens regarding European Union. Our interest in Georgian affairs was motivated by the fact that Georgian society was experiencing strong political turmoil, broken between anti-EU and pro-EU sentiments. Large anti-government manifestation and protests were observed with stability of Georgian democracy under threat. By applying quantitative and qualitative methods we gathered opinions of 1100 Georgians and in order to properly assess the situation in Georgia and understand broader social trends and motivations of individuals, we also diagnosed beliefs, convictions, level of political polarization and quality of social capital.
The project is financed from the National Agency of Academic Exchange (Narodowa Agencja Wymiany Akademickiej) on quota of 145 000 PLN.
